The WELOCK U81 is designed for compatible Euro-profile cylinder doors. The standard configuration adjusts from 32.5–47.5 mm on the exterior side and 30–70 mm on the interior side, using the included extension where required. It requires a minimum door backset of 25 mm.

Measure both sides from the centre of the cylinder fixing screw to the corresponding door plate. Also check clearance around the panel and knobs. Contact us before ordering if your measurements fall outside the standard range.

Normally, only the cylinder needs to be replaced on a compatible door. The existing door and internal lock mechanism remain in place. 

Installation on a compatible door normally requires no drilling or wiring and can take around 10 minutes. Follow the manual supplied with your lock and test operation with the door open before closing it.

Yes. Fingerprint, PIN, RFID card, nearby Bluetooth app access, and the mechanical key work without an internet connection. WiFiBox3 is required for remote unlocking and supported smart home integration.

Bluetooth access lets you operate the U81 through the WELOCK App when your phone is near the lock. To unlock from another location over the internet, you need WiFiBox3 connected and online.

The WELOCK U81 provides a low-battery reminder. If the batteries are completely depleted, use one of the included mechanical keys. Keep a backup key accessible outside the locked property.

The WELOCK U81 uses four replaceable AAA batteries, which are not included. The manual states a battery life of 10–12 months; actual life depends on use and conditions. Replace all four batteries together and do not mix old and new batteries.

Set your administrator passcode before using the WELOCK U81 Smart Lock to secure your property. Then register your fingerprints, PIN codes or cards and test them with the door open. The factory-default state can accept unregistered access credentials.
